There's also some sort of Diablo II LOD unofficial servers as well (Path of Diablo), though I haven't managed to get them to work.

Quoting: TurkeysteaksI'm on Ubuntu, so it's likely the new beta or new drivers then. I'm glad to know I'm not the only one!Quoting: neffoI the only person who has Steam Big Picture running very slowly (like 10 fps) on Desktop Linux ... though it's fine in games though?Yep, I'm getting the same. I switched from Ubuntu to Nobara recently so it might've been that, but the non-beta BPM didn't have performance issues on Nobara, and the beta was fine under Ubuntu. Honestly just assumed it was my issue, as my GPU died and I messily reinstalled my system at the same time.

I've not seen anyone else mention it but I can't work out what it is.

Open source game engine for Morrowind 'OpenMW' to gain 'Distant terrain' in the next release

I think the love of it comes from the fact it was, and maybe still is, really a really unique and weird world. And the narrative and world plays up to it. You're an outsider, after all. The weird systems kinda work because it is a weird world. Skyrim doesn't feel weird at all, yeah they polished the systems, but it's also not that strange a world. It feels more a rehash of tropes (Vikings + Braveheart + a Raymond E. Feist novel). Morrowind also takes itself less seriously (the naked guy who has had his clothes taken by a witch, not to mention the icarus boots, are pretty hilarious to come across).
Also, cliff racers are less annoying than the 30 different voice actors saying the same stupid line at you.

Quoting: tmtvlPeople claim Morrowind is a better game than its successors, however I'd say it depends on what you're looking for in a game.I agree the combat is janky, I think it's probably better they had sword swings hit everytime and rolled for damage (and play different sounds based on how "heavy" the hit was).
The combat system doesn't really work with the to-hit being a percentile roll calculated when your attack connects. That is combining the mechanics of a hack 'n slash game with the mechanics of a die-based RPG in the player's disadvantage.
There's articles on the web which go into greater detail, suffice it to say people have opinions.

Insta-purchased.
To be honest, I'm happy to wait for the Linux version if that means we get the Game of the Year/Full Season editions.

Quoting: bubexelUpdating drivers, and updating client vulkan loader. Well, it's ready to deploy vr to linux and steamOS.Expect almost zero support for VR games on Linux for the short term. VR game sales mean they are not profitable yet, adding another OS to support makes zero sense financially.

If you are going to ask for proof, don't ignore it and provide your own conjecture. It would be nonsensical to capture that information if they weren't recording it.
For the record Windows XP 64bit isn't even listed as a separate line item (it's pretty rare even by XP standards). Changing the Wine Windows version doesn't change the OS recorded in Steam for me (always XP 64bit). It's possible this is buried in the 0.04% Windows other. Or the 0.35% Linux other. Or the 0.14% that isn't assigned to one of the three main OSs.
Regardless, these strings are maybe provided to games via steamworks (never looked at the API myself though).
