Some initial thoughts on Robocraft, the free to play game about building and fighting vehicles

I played a lot of the game back before it became famous, and it was really fun.

They added then lots of stuff, and reworked garage, techs and all, several times. I didn't play since that time.

Paradox Interactive reveal the first gameplay trailer for Surviving Mars

We have time to play many other games before this one is done.

It will probably be end of 2018 for v1 and then 1 or 2 more years for decent DLC with a good price on a complete pack.

Deep Sky Derelicts, a turn-based strategy and RPG with tactical card combat will come to Linux

I love the arts. On my radar since a few . Too bad it's only for "2018", could be quite a long real time before it's out (not Early Access).

Looks like GOG Galaxy won't come to Linux any time soon, as it's "not a priority"

Itchio is still the best so far to my knowledge about dev/price/player relations, DRM policy (none), client weight and stability, ease of use and all. But it may be because it's still "confidential". If they get millions of users as Steam has, i guess it would change a lot.

Sad... I already don't buy from them since some time already, because of Galaxy not on Linux exactly. So, this is only going to enforce my feelings in a bad way...

Not sure if it's smart or not, as if i, we, don't buy Linux games from them, they might very simply stop releasing games for Linux at all.

Humble, Itchio and Steam are my main stores, and it won't change soon, it seems.

Out of Reach, a survival game with a pirate theme has Linux support

I like the setting "Pirate-Punk", but it looks like crap. Not "technically" (even if...), but more about artistic direction, general design. Beside the theme, it's a totally random visual with no soul.

Colony sim 'Maia' has another big update improving many aspects of the game, also on sale

I'm not sure what to think about Maia. I bought it 3 times i think, refunded each, because the game feels empty quickly. I feel after 2-3 hours i've done everything that could be done.

I didn't replay for a while, so maybe it has changed ?

Quoting: Nouser¿Square tiles in this day and age? Get with the times guys.
It has nothing to do with a good or bad game.

The fantastic and cheap RTS 'Rusted Warfare' has a huge update with mech units and lots more

I've never played on Android, and i don't care much about it, so i only can talk about the PC version.

- It's not OpenSource
- It's not free
+ but it's very easy to mod units and maps
+ It's less than 5€
= Small but active community to play online (always 10+ games running online when i play)
+ Cross plateform Linux, Windows, Android
+ Great support from the dev via Discord
+ Just released so lots of updates to come (included Steam Workshop)
+ It's "new" while OpenRA is "only" a rebalanced of the old Red Alert (and Dune and Tiberium) with modern computers support
+ More units, and potentially infinite more from mods
+ Bigger scale, more Total Annihilation than Red Alert, with more units involved
+ Solid code with 120+ FPS even with 1000 units on screen
