Most of the gamers prefer to spend money for a good AAA Title and usually they buy indie games in bundles.
Exception some unique indie games.

I mostly do the opposite. I almost never buy any AAA game full price, and i actually almost never buy AAA games. I prefer to spend 50€ into different "smaller" games that will actually enjoy me much more overall than one single "bigger" game.

It's good/weird to know however that some games i will only play on Linux are counted as Windows sale...

Developping games on Linux is awesome because it brings communities like GoL alive.

I play many games with "pixels", included that one, but i don't like it much. I don't like the noise into pixel, i prefer clean surface, much more readable. About gameplay it's quite simplistic and boring after a couple of hours. I didn't like a lot, but still nice to try from time to time.

Also the devs are really awesome, very open and present to the community, taking advise without being slave of the trolls, etc. Just for that i like to support them.

I think i've played it for the first time a good while ago. Since then, it seems to be the same game, with very little progression... I will give it a new view to check again.

If people are mainly playing on Windows, it's because the market targets Windows. OK they have a huge amount of money to brainwash people. But, if games were available to Linux in a more regular and stable way, players may try Linux more and more, without thinking "ho but my favorite game(s) will not run on Linux". In many places, non-techy offices, i've seen Windows (XP !) computers, but mostly Linux-friendly software (Libre Office, Firefox, mainly). Because it's free or less expensive, and more secured, and easy to handle.

Common people are completly ready and able to use Linux and linux friendly software. They only need to be fed.
