OpenRazer 3.2.0 brings more device support for Razer fans on Linux

Quoting: Mountain ManRazer products are trash. I suppose it's nice that someone is going to the effort to try and support them in Linux, but why bother for such low quality peripherals when there are much better options that "just work" out of the box?
I am looking for a wireless mouse, any recommendations?

How does coop work? Can you host a game or do you need to host a true server?

What we expect to come from Valve to help Linux gaming in 2021

Sounds weird to me. I dont want to reboot to play games. I dont see any benefit of people wanting to try how their steam works with Linux, and just have them to reboot their system and boot from a USB....for what? Just to notice it runs similar or worse than their windows?
There is no real benefit or motivation for new users to try the real linux.

The best Linux distros for gaming in 2021

No. You just need drivers (kernel, possibly Mesa) that support your hardware. If you can easily get those from a PPA or other optional repository, why would you need a rolling distro? You might have plenty of other valid reasons to prefer Arch, but they aren't likely to enhance your gaming in any meaningful way.
Sorry but thats simply untrue. Rolling releases is the way to go instead of adding ridicolous amounts of extra repositories, esp for a beginner, thats a very negative habit.

For a complete Linux beginner obviously Ubuntu is a neat starting place. Still I would also recommend against anything Ubuntu like.

AMD reveals Zen 3 and the Ryzen 5000 series - out November 5

Hexus tested the $700 GeForce RTX 3080 in Gears 5 and Borderlands 3 using the same visual presets as AMD did with this Radeon RX 6000 preview, on AMD’s Ryzen 9 3950X. The RTX 3080 hit 59.4fps in Borderlands 3, compared to the Radeon RX 6000’s 61fps in this preview. In Gears 5, the RTX 3080 hit 77fps, compared to the Radeon RX 6000’s 73fps. The processor makes a difference, though, because in Eurogamer’s GeForce RTX 3080 review with a Core i9-10900K, Nvidia’s card hit 65fps in Borderlands, and 80fps in Gears 5. (The Call of Duty game lacks a standardized benchmark, so you can’t compare AMD’s results against other tests, as two wildly different scenes could be used.)

That seemingly puts AMD’s upcoming card neck-and-neck with Nvidia’s staggeringly powerful gaming flagship, depending on the processor it’s paired with. That’s damned impressive—but it’s important to understand what AMD didn’t reveal today, too.

Finally getting into Doom 2016, trying to improve the performance through settings tweaking. Found out about CPU governor setting, which fixed most of my problems with the game.

And also gave me a nice fps bump in Insurgency. Thanks to the Gol Discord and [dpanter]!

Additionally playing some Underlords and enjoying the changes Valve brings to the game.

Total War: WARHAMMER II released for Linux, port from Feral Interactive
24 Nov 2018 at 8:43 am UTC

Hey guys I have a specific Warhammer II question. Now that there is a WH2 release for Linux: Is it true that I can play the campaign from WH1 also within WH2? Because WH2 uses Vulkan I would expect performance improvements over playing the original? If this is not the case, what can I expect from owning WH1 and WH2 on Linux?
