I want this game so badly! It doesn't matter if the console and Windows gamers don't get it now. I just hope they make the game the best they can. A real racing simulator is definitely one of the things really missing from my Steam library on Linux.
If the game turns out good i am going to buy myself a nice set of steering wheel. Are there any good ones that are working on Linux?

How To Get A Free XCOM: Enemy Unknown Key

What is this Playfire thing i also got registered to? Never heard of it but it looks like some sort of client and social network for gamers. Is it some sort of Steam client for GMG?
Its seems like a promotion for GMG and Playfire. Just register, get your key and be happy with it. :)

Quoting: edoI wonder how they get profit from giving away the game.Greenman Gaming want you to register an account and loads of people are going to receive their newsletters. Of course you can click that away but I don't know how many will do that.

Quoting: Segata SanshiroIronman mode is the only way i play nowadays. I simply can't play without it. Nothing is like knowing that i can't reload while i am 20 hours into a game and declaring a daring war against my biggest enemy. There is simply no going back at that point.Tho i must admit i cannot force myself not to just save/load cheat when something really goes wrong and it kinda kills the gaming experience. if i had anything to criticise at this game then it would be how the forgiving save system kills the immersionThat' what i always found with the old games. When something goes wrong, it's just too tempting to cheat and seems impossible not to cheat and do well.
You should try IronMan mode on EU4 (not sure if CK2 has it) because it takes the possibility of cheating away. I have had so much more fun playing that than with cheating. It's so satisfying when you lose 4 key provinces in a war and think all is lost, then 10 years later recover them and crush the country that annexed the provinces. It's really difficult at first, but you get used to making alliances with bigger countries that will protect you and generally thinking ahead and assessing threats. Makes the game much more addictive and fun :)

I have spent thousands of hours on Paradox games. After the release of EU4, i wiped Windows completely and have never looked back. I remember how i regretted buying EU3 when it was released and didn't play it for a month or so because i hated it. That was until i watched some let's play and decided i had to play this game. Its like Risk on steroids and i couldn't stop playing after finally learning the game. EU4 is easier to learn but just as hard to master. A great recipe for a great strategy game. :)
October 30th can't come soon enough. I haven't played EU4 for a month and i am currently playing Wasteland 2 on my Manjaro box while i am waiting. Its certainly good times to be a Linux gamer. :)

Quoting: aLThis month we got a 0.10% rise, so its not a downwards trend.Quoting: FGardenWorth notting that accordding to Valve there are about 100 milion active accounts on Steam, not "just" 75 milion anymore.Actually this might explain the trend downwards of linux

32bit is dead. I cant even imagine why someone would use 32bit on a AAA game for Linux in this day and age. Its a small niche within a niche that want it.
Just A Friendly Reminder: Don't Buy A Game Until It Is Officially On Linux

This was my assumption all along. Therefore I waited to buy Civ V and Xcom until they where actually released.
If we buy games ported by third parties say one month before release, all the money have already been sent to the developers, instead of a portion going to the people that are doing the porting. This is probably because Valve have to send the money somewhere and since there is no Linux version yet, it gets counted as a Windows game.
For games that are ported in-house it doesn't matter since the money will go to the devs either way.
