Nuclear Dawn Will No Longer Be Worked On
21 Feb 2014 at 3:17 pm UTC

Quoting: Xpanderi dont regret buyig it... managed to have 4-5 hours of fun at least with it.
was 75% off also when i bought so no big deal for me.

hopefuly someone will buy this and re-release...it was great game, great concept.. but somehow lacked people.
The main reason it lacked people was that it was that there was no cross-platform multiplayer. Unless there were a few linux beta testers online, you had the whole server to yourself. And the bots were not very smart.

I really hope someone will pick up the port and continue its development...

Card City Nights Has Good Sales Numbers For Linux
20 Feb 2014 at 4:13 am UTC

I think that has a lot to do with the fact that he has established his reputation as a Linux-friendly dev. He made plans to port it early on, and delivered on his promises. Seeing as this new game he made has a lot of the characters from Ittle Dew people immediately recognized the developer.
I bought the game and it is a lot of fun, although I'm starting to think that winning a battle sometimes has more luck to it than I would like. (I never lost a battle and want to keep it that way)

Linux Game Sales Statistics From Multiple Developers Part 2

Never saw Zomboid before (I own all of the other games mentioned though)
It looks like a nice game.

EDIT: What I mean by that is that it may have to do with the fact that it hasn't received enough publicity within the Linux community.

The Castle Doctrine Released On Steam For Linux With Source Code Access
30 Jan 2014 at 6:01 pm UTC

Quoting: hardpenguinI wanted to get it few months ago directly from game website, but I think that idea of distributing Linux version as sources in form to compile by yourself is rather silly in 2013 and now 2014.
I think it's rather nice to have the Source Code as well...

Linux Game Sales Statistics From Multiple Developers

I'm wondering: how do they know the difference between a windows sale and a Linux sale?
I've bought games via Linux, windows and even through steam on wine, but whether there is a little tux smiling at me on the store page takes a huge part in the decision-making process!

Help Make Open Source AMD Graphics Drivers Better
13 Jan 2014 at 4:47 pm UTC

Good, I use Nvidia, but recently made my parents an AMD (because they less energy and because I was curious to see the difference in customer support).
This was last week. I was shocked at first: The open-source driver was slooow, had difficulties running Unity, and my sister couldn't play her steam games on it. The official driver said it was incompatible with the hardware. Luckily a few days later a new version came out that was compatible. Soo much faster than the open-source driver... I really hope they can improve the AMD open-source driver.
The hardware was an R7 240 btw.
