I have never got into the "X" series. I like these kind of complicated games, so I think it will be great for me. Can someone recommend, where should I start first with this game? X3: Reunion, X3:Terran Conflict, X3:Albion Prelude, or X3:Farnham's Legacy?

XFCE is the best desktop environment. I used, and tested almost all of DE, and I always come back to XFCE. I don't know, it just works, it is very lightweight, simplistic, customizable and beautiful :) When i look at it, I just feel at home.

Oh, and here is my screenshot from X-plane. I took it couple of days ago. Cool, right? No paid scenery or weather was used. Just free mods for weather. Swiss mountains!

X-Plane 11 is still just awesome. In my opinion it has better flight physics and overall simulation aspect, then new Micro$oft Flight Sim. It also has a lot of community created content for free, and new Vulkan API works even better on Linux, than on Windows (!). Especialy if you have older PC, and I am one of these poor guys, you'll feel the difference. Totally worth it and still kicking. Plus - with mods, and some of many paid weather engines, it still can look just as beautiful as new MSFS. Of course, world scenery in MSFS is soooo much better and realistic... but it's obvious. And of course ATC. ATC in X-Plane sucks balls :/

Quoting: BrisseAfter a few YouTube-tutorials and a bit of wiki-reading I have had a really great time with OpenTTD. Not as fancy graphics as 0AD, and at first a bit daunting with it's seemingly clunky user interface, but it's actually not bad once you get to know it and learn the most important hotkeys.
Quoting: PhlebiacI've enjoyed FreeCiv and Battle for Wesnoth.I know these games very well :) And still play them to this day, from time to time!
Quoting: TcheyAnother RTS i’m playing from time to time is Zero-K.This one I did not knew! Thanks, and I'll check it out definitely! Looks cool :)
On Steam you won’t see Linux, but if you ask on the Discord they grant a beta key.
Out of Steam you can download and play the Linux version.

This game is amazing! Are there more high-quality opensource games like this (not specifically RTS, any genre will do)?

Quoting: NociferMaybe you're using steam-native and your system is missing some library? It's happened to me before with a Feral port and it turned out I was missing gconf. You can also try running Steam via the terminal and after you try to run the game, you can read the printed error messages and find out what the issue is.Yes! That was the case (lib32-gconf). Maaaaany thanks good man! :D

The game don't start for me :/ Very strange, because Total War: Warhammer II works just fine. I'm using Manjaro. It just shows steam "window" saying about starting the game, and then turns off and nothing happens. When I tried running the game with Proton, it does the same thing. Any idea why it doesn't start?

Damn, I've got this like a month ago! So much LATE news Liam ;) No offense, of course.
EDIT:
I thought, that I should share with you this news, but, I'm not visiting your site every day (well, I am, but not always), so I thought, that you mentioned it anyway in some older post. Just to be clear :P
EDIT 2:
Yeah... sorry for that, but the guy who create KeeperRL is from Poland, so this game has special place in my heart. Maybe that's why I check on news about this little gem so often :P And yeah, this game is just awesome! You definitely should buy it! This dev has some real balls, and is a very honest guy. He is streaming his game/development of it almost every day on Steam!!! That's just amazing in my opinion. And no, I'm not his some close friend. I'm just saying it from my own observations. I don't even know what is his name xD I'm just admiring what he does.
It's just crazy, and not so common in our reality.
(I know my english sucks sometimes, but I'm not sorry for it. All of us are citizens of this world. So, who cares about english? Screw this. Punk's not Dead!)
I know, a lot of Linux users are punk rockers, so, here is some bonus from Poland. Just for punk rockers out there. And not only for them of course! Maybe someone will open his own mind for some not conventional music, fak the system music? It's just most appropriate music for quarantine. And... it'll never be commercial. It's some 1990 shit. This band don't even exist anymore. Sadly :(
