AMD has announced their 14nm FinFET Polaris GPU architecture
5 Jan 2016 at 12:43 am UTC

This is going to be an interesting year for AMD, I swear it. Either hit or miss, but with 14nm Zen CPUs, GCN4 GPUs, and Vulkan, they have an explosive trio full of potential.

I expect their drivers to be a lot more efficient with vulkan, provided we get games that use the API at all. I also look forward to good open-source Vulkan drivers, which should be a thing quite shortly after the specs release. If so, one of the last advantages of closed-source drivers will be per-game shaders optimizations. And even then, I expect the new SPIR-V representation to be able to lead to even more optimized shaders.

My thought exactly :-)

It's nice to see games starting to play fine on open source drivers. Especially what they did with gallium nine is really nice.

I would like to see some ports offering 9 as an option if available. Does someone knows if VP ports currently use 9 if available? (and if it is a DX 9 game)

Anyone recommend any good Local Multiplayers with Full Controller support? I want to collect a couple more Steam Controllers and some Local games to play w/ friends.
FORCED is a good one.
Seriour sam 3 too, but it is quite demanding.
Then, little games like MONACO or The binding of Isaac Rebirth.

I also know some others like shatter, a virus named tom, or Portal 2. L4D2 also has a splitscreen mode, but you have to access it trough the console.
Screencheat might be fun, but I didn't try it. Don't starve together might be interesting too.
Too bad I don't have my steam client near me, I have a category dedicated to those. I am fond of local multiplayer games :)

The Feral Radar had ideas beyond its station and is now being admonished and updated accordingly.
I love this quote.

A bit disappointed, though. I was looking forward to finish this campaign started years ago once for all!

My First Hours With A Steam Link
18 Nov 2015 at 11:10 am UTC

Quoting: EikeHas anybody tried this over WiFi and/or power-line? As I don't see how I could have a cable between my PC and my TV, I wonder if especially power-line could be fast and reliable enough.
I haven't tried the steam link itself, but I was able to play some games quite fine with steam in-home streaming with powerline adapters.

I'm gonna buy it only for my linux exclusive steam account. :)

PS, anyone of You know if I can use the same credit card in two steam accounts?
You shouldn't have any problems with that. Multiple accounts are allowed by steam's EULA. I've done so in the past. They even recommend you to create a new account when you're VAC banned.

I would recommend playing this from behind a pillow, with emergency pants nearby.
I own no such thing as a spare pants.
