When not on Roblox with my daughter I'm alternating between 'Bye Sweet Carol' and an emulated translation of 'Moon Crystal' (was on Famicom).
It's good and I'd not heard of it prior to playing. Also casually plunking around 'Super Mario 64' with my little girl.
We're having fun and she's always giving me grief for save scumming, insisting I just get good instead.
At least she keeps me honest 😁

These projects have become a revelatory solution for my computing needs and I'm grateful to the maintainers for their work.

Is there any edition of this that aims to be general purpose (or general programming purpose)? I'd guess this market niche is covered by immutable Fedora spins, but they have their painpoints and I'd love to try other options.Bluefin works nicely on my two-in-one Chromebook for general computing. Bazzite on my desktop PC, while gaming oriented, works beautifully as an all-purpose spin.

This is amazing. I am super stoked for Tarn as this is more than well deserved. And a huge kudos to the community for buying the Steam release up like mad!

I'll have to second Liam's experience. On my desktop Immortals does not play nice, whether through Lutris, Bottles, Proton (via added non-steam game), and now we can include Steam proper. I too have had issues with the sound disappearing, the game crashing upon plugging in a controller, black flickering lines and various other performance issues.
Definitely pass on this one for the time being. Also be aware that these issues manifest on Windows as well, at least mine do, apart from the controllers causing the game to crash.

Loving the interviews Liam. Solid and challenging line of questioning. Keep them coming!
As an Ubuntu user who always tends to circle back around to his roots I must agree with Ken on Ubuntu having an unparalleled user experience. It's possible the distribution just resonates with me personally but I've always loved the aesthetic and what I consider to be a very solid user interface (a quite subjective metric, but there you go).
Any how, I'm happy with 22.04 so far. Debs, snaps, flatpaks, and appimages all coexist on my system and gaming and general usage are a sheer joy and superb experience. We're all spoiled for choice these days between the sundry options at our disposal.
Great time to be a Linux desktop user:smile:

Thanks for the sensible write-up Samsai.
Dreadfully off topic but any chance you and Liam will be available for more episodes of the Gaming on Linux podcast?

Liam, thanks for posting this. I believe you've mentioned it in the past but this is the first time I've tried it.
Tried the appimage. Ridiculously simple and quick. Plus, it downloads Roberta and Boxtron as well if desired.
Great pick :)

Just finished Cyanide's Call of Cthulhu (loved every minute of that game) and am alternating between Anthem and Dungeon Siege LoA. Dipping my toes into The Sinking City but not quite sold yet.
Thanks to GoL and the entire Linux community I've been quite happy with my Ubuntu 20.04 (Gnome!) install and haven't pined for a dual boot for anything in months. Thank you all!
