Assassin’s Creed Shadows is out now and it's Steam Deck Verified, so I took a look to see if it deserves the rating. The good news is that it will also work on normal Desktop Linux with AMD GPUs but NVIDIA GPUs have problems.
Initially Ubisoft said it wouldn't be supported, then they said it would be and now Valve have said that Assassin's Creed Shadows is Steam Deck Verified.
In a surprise turnaround after previously stating the Steam Deck would not be supported for Assassin’s Creed Shadows, Ubisoft have now said it actually will be.
One from earlier in February I missed was a Q&A post from Ubisoft about Assassin's Creed Shadows, and it's bad news for players hoping to run it on Steam Deck.
