Steam Scream Fest 2022 is live now with lots of discounts

By - | Views: 18,858

Here's the next big sale! Steam Scream Fest 2022 is live now, lots of games discounted and there's demos and more. Live now until November 1st at 5PM UTC. I don't think this type of event needs a lot of explaining does it? The focus is naturally on all sorts of scary and slightly spooky games and everything possible in between that developers could sneak into the sale.

Valve also put up a trailer for the event:

Here's a few great deals to get you going for games that work well on Linux / Steam Deck either via Proton or a Native build that I think are worth picking up:

If you do find any delightfully spooky deals, be sure to leave a comment.

In other news: Steam continues growing hitting over 30 million online.

Graveyard Keeper doesn't seem to be part of the sale as such, but it happens to be 50% off right now.

I've been holding out buying a few things until this sale came around. Going to pick up Cult of the Lamb and Inscryption.

I really enjoyed Graveyard Keeper, great for those on in Stardew Valley withdrawal pain. It is not a clone, it's own thing to be certain, but similar in many ways. It's got some great irreverent and dark humor.

Yes, I played that game, but I was using Windows at the time, I don't know how it will run on Linux (it seems to be rated platinum on protondb though) ...

Overall I did enjoy it, nice atmosphere and interesting plot, except for the last part of the game, which felt "rushed".
Also, like most of the games where discovering the mysteries is the main point, there is no real replayability, so take your time

I just grabbed Bendy and the Ink Machine (native) and its prequel, Boris and the Dark Survival (not native, but rated Platinum on ProtonDB), as a bundle for £4.68. I played partway through Bendy back when I owned a Switch, and it's been on my re-buy list for a bit - couldn't pass it up at this price!
