Back in April I let you guys know about RUINER, an incredibly stylish looking cyberpunk shooter built with Unreal Engine. It seems IGN had a little hands-on time with it, and it looks really fun.

I really do love the graphical style, but it looks like it uses Chromatic Aberration which really hurts my eyes. I hope that has a toggle!

Gameplay wise, it looks nice and fluid and the abilities look really cool. Always hard to tell how it will be from someone else's video though.

What do you think to it? I'm looking forward to giving it a go. It's due out later this year and it's being published by Devolver Digital who are very Linux friendly. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

Looks great!... multiplayer will be a must... but if not... it's interesting anyway

Looks great, sounds great, and those mechanics!! I'm not a bit fan of anything that flashes up on screen in general because it usually doesn't connect with it's purpose to me, but even still its clear a lot of effort has gone into this.

The only thing stopping me to put this in my wish list, is the partial controller support.

Still surprises me in this day and age, PC developers look down to gamepad players.

Who are the devs? My first impression was, "I hate top down shooters." Then I remembered I loved Dead Nation on PS3 for some reason. So maybe I'd like this after all. (I do have a thing for zombies though.)
