Medungeon games is hoping to raise $5000 within 44 days from now and they say the money will be spent as follows.

QuoteThe raised money will be spent on:
      additional game assets (more objects to interact, more enemies to kick!);
      outsourcing 3D animator, composer and sound designer work (better animation, more music and sound effects);
      the game engine "Full" license (more eye candies, for example dynamic shadows, better looking water and fog);
      additional programming work and localization (interesting extra features. More adventure elements or more platformer or RPG? Let's discuss it together!)

About:

QuoteKICK ALL THE STUFF! COLLECT ALL THE BONUSES!
ESCAPE TO THE NEXT ISLAND BEFORE THE FLOOD!

Ostrich Island is the unique mix between an adventure (explore beautiful islands and search for collectibles) and a platformer (jump over dangerous waters, run and kick stuff), with a slight hint of role-playing game (level up and gain new abilities).
You can choose between two difficulty levels (the third, hardest difficulty will be available in the future): Relaxing, where you can slowly investigate the islands, searching for collectibles with nothing to worry about. And Escape, where constantly rising water level adds some stress but increases score multipliers in return.

You can play a 3 level demo of Ostrich Islands on Windows and Mac with a demo available on Linux soon.

looks quiet fun actually, lets hope it makes it, it's not a huge amount compared to many of the kickstarters but it seems to have a slow start.

Well, it looks quite boring and unappealing. Hence the frowny. :(
Wish we could have an exciting 3D platformer like Banjo Kazooie.
