Announced today is the start of a new adventure for Linux gamers, Deadfall Adventures has been released into open beta for all owners.

One thing is odd, they already released it to all Linux users at the end of December last year, but they said it "is not a beta version".

I don't know what has changed to make them now say it's a beta, but copied below is their announcement.

Nordic GamesHello,

All owners of Deadfall Adventures should now have access to the Linux version. Please note that this is still Linux Beta. We will add an annoucement as soon as we left Beta status.

Greetings
Your Nordic Games Team

Definitely weird about the beta stuff.. I'll be giving this a shot this weekend and if I enjoy it, I'll be buying for sure.

I'me updating right now. Hope the game is more stable now as I couldn't get any further because it kept on crashing to desktop at one point.

I would download it for the free weekend but 7 gigs is too much just for it to disappear in 3 days

I bought it last month and its pretty fun. I dont think it was beta then, it was more of a preview and now its beta.

worked pretty well, although mouse movement while aiming was very...staggery.

When they said: "This is not a beta version since we need especially feedback on a wide variety of hardware configurations." I think they really meant that it was still Alpha.

umm... the free weekend is to try it and it doesn't disappear if you decide to keep it.

Hmmm, ive downloaded it, but...
When i start the game, a window opens :Deadfall Adventures Splash
after 30 seconds it closes and another window opens: Deadfall Adventures 64-bit
At this moment the Game stops. if i close it, a warning pops up and says: "Deadfall Adventures 64-bit doesnt react." i have the options to close it or wait.
(sry for my bad english, im swiss)
