By - | Views: 28,869
Well now, this was a nice surprise, it looks like Portal 2 is extremely close to dropping onto Linux.

Update: You need to manually opt-into the beta according to Valve. Find it in the beta tab on the properties section of Portal 2.

Quoting: Xpander
Quoting: PKMDid anyone else notice that the Steam counter for Linux games went from 538 to 338? What's up with that?
You can find the counter by going into the Linux games tab, it just says "games".
doesnt count DLC's anymore i guess

I think that's correct. It more or less matches up with SteamDB's number now: http://steamdb.info/linux/

Nice, it's already downloading.

Man, what a relief - this is great news. Portal 2 to play again is superb... once I get my house move out of the way and have a computer again. Argh!!!

And Stanley Parable should be hot on its heel. Amazing news. Superb!

Can't wait to play this. Hopefully Valve doesn't have too much difficulty bringing this out of the beta.
