Nova-111 is a funny looking little indie game where you control a cute little science vessel looking for lost scientists.

The movement looks pretty fluid until you come across enemies where it slows down to turn-based movement, the combat movement looks much like Dungeons of Dredmor.

Solve puzzles and engage in strategic battles with astrobiological creatures in a twisted environment where the turn-based world gradually transforms into real-time!

Collect new abilities and upgrades modules for your ship during your cosmic voyage!

  • Strategic combat where brains beats brawn
  • Mind-warping puzzles...in space!

Yeah, looks fantastic! I love how indies iterate, and re-iterate, over turn-based strategy. Too awesome.

Reminds me somewhat of the real-time / turn-based combat switching in Supergiant Games' upcoming title Transistor (which I'm also SUPER stoked for).
