Title: Nacon under financial troubles... no new WRC game (?)

The French publisher, Nacon, has filed for insolvency and has requested judicial reorganisation. This is to seek court approval to restructure its debt while continuing to operate and publish its expected games.

The move comes after its majority shareholder, Bigben Interactive, failed to make a partial bond repayment after being blocked by its banking pool. This has raised questions about the future of upcoming releases, including GreedFall 2, and Nacon’s scheduled showcase event.

Not suprising really. Nacon was already in deep trouble with their profits just being 1.1mil compared to 165mil dumped into it.

Sad future for the WRC game(s). Will see what will happen ofc.

Had to look up who is Supernova. But yeah AC Rally having licensed WRC cars and stages would be great.
I still haven't bought the game as its still in early access and looks to be pretty bare bones so far.

I believe the latest WRC game has some EA anticheat nonsense that makes it not work on Proton. Maybe Codemasters could pick up the slack. And yeah, ACR would do well having some WCR rallies (actually it would do well having some more rallies, period; but that's just a matter of time). That said, DiRT Rally 2.0 only has fictional rallies and that game is awesome squared; so licensed stages aren't _that_ important.

If Bigben is having issues, though, I imagine Kylotonn might also run into financial problems. I suppose V-Rally 5 won't be on the horizon. Maybe Eden Games can get back into the rally side of racing (if Atari even gives a hoot).
