You aren't dreaming Robot Roller-Derby Disco Dodgeball really is a game. We actually mentioned it a while ago, but they have now pushed into Steam's early access section.

They are updating their humble widget, so DRM free buyers don't fret it will be back on their website soon, so keep an eye on it if you don't want to buy from Steam.

About
Robot Roller-Derby Disco Dodgeball is a vibrant multiplayer futuresport where you race around a skate park / dance club in jet-powered robots and try to hit each other with exploding dodgeballs. Its focus on skillful roller-skate movement and physics-based projectile warfare make it one of the most intensely fun and satisfying FPS experiences since the Robocalypse of 2742.

It's a ridiculously fun dodgeball FPS that is reminiscent of the classic arena combat shooters, before the genre got overrun by generic brownish military set-piece bullet sponge shooting galleries. Instead you get exhilarating mid-air projectile battles, fast-paced acrobatic movement, trick shots, skillful dodging, and quick-reflex catching. The neon-lit skate park dance club arenas pulse to the beat of an incredible electronic soundtrack. There's also a monster truck announcer.

Features
  • Seven game modes (both team and FFA), plus a training mode
  • Seven multi-level skate park / dance club arenas
  • Online multiplayer on 3rd party hosted servers, no setup required
  • Single-player score challenge/survival
  • Three levels of AI difficulty
  • Up to 12 players in a room, plus additional spectators
  • 39 Achievements and tons of stat tracking
