Since we now know that Borderlands: The Pre-sequel will be our first AAA same-day Linux release be sure to pre-order it, and check out this latest video!

I can't wait to try out playing as a combat claptrap, hah, that sure does sound amusing. What do you guys think?

All the more reason for me to really hammer some hours into Borderlands 2 to finish it before the release. You guys will want to know what we think of TPS when it's release after-all right? I best get saving my pennies to grab a copy of TPS when it arrives.

You can pre-order using GameAgent the store run by Aspyr Media (the guys porting the game).

It releases on the 17th of October on Steam. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

Quoting: aLare there benefits to preorder?
Yes. It ensures that you get a copy on day one. In case Steam runs out of copies before you get there on release day.

And u pay for something thats not done, and therefor u give developers money for something u dont fully know what it is.
And also, developers can put out crap deals like, if u pre-order u get a unik gun and a hat, extra levels. Yes this has happend, Activision is one of them.
ANd they can also create a bad game in general. And they can still gain money on it and get away with it.

Not saying pre-sequal are a bad game. I dont got a clue really.

I would suggest u to wait untill TB or any other big youtube takes a look on it.
Pre-order in general is not good for gaming, the community and the future for us gamers.
And is a great risk for u as a consumer.

I understand the borderlands hype, I cant wait myself :).

TB explains this really good = https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mf5Uj4XIT1Y

Again, as a few of us pointed out, NOT the first AAA game with day one Linux support. That goes to UT2004. It had a Linux installer on the DVD/CD's.

I don't preorder out of sheer principle, but it'll be mine day one for sure.

Steam release date says Oct 14th ;)

I would gladly preorder this but given the amount of games I need to play first I will probably wait for the GOTY
