Dex is a beautiful looking side-scrolling RPG from Dreadlocks Ltd that has just landed on Linux. It's currently in Early Access, so remember to watch out for those bugs!

Dex was funded on Kickstarter back in December of last year, so it's great to see another game that promised Linux support to deliver on it. It uses the Unity engine, so it should work as well as other Unity games.

Official About
Explore the futuristic city of Harbor Prime and meets its many inhabitants, answer the challenges the city has to offer, roam the neon-lit streets, and augment your character with skills and implants.

Designed as a tribute to the classic RPGs from the ‘90s, updated for a modern audience, Dex invites you to become part of a living, breathing cyberpunk universe as you decide which ultimate path you will embrace.

Check out Dex on Steam now. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

Gorgeous graphics, nice music, interesting concept! I wonder why I had missed it in kickstarter... Instant buy from me when a no DRM version hits its page!

Wow! That looks damn good indeed. Kind of Deus Ex gone 2D side-scroller. However, judging by the early access gameplay video, the sounds and music are kind of awkward.

May check it out some day but nothing that gets me excited for now (too many other games still to play :-)).

I'm a complete sucker for a cyberpunk setting. Having an internal wrangle with myself over buying it now or waiting for a couple of weeks while I play with Borderlands 2!

I have a Windows partition on one of my computers too. I've hardly used it the last couple of years, but it's there until I find a driver for my Epson Stylus Photo PX700W that can handle printing from the photo paper tray. :-/
