I have been waiting rather impatiently for this, as the initial Linux release of Chivalry: Medieval Warfare contained many crash to desktop bugs.

The game is really quite fun, and the memory leak really ruined it for me, so I can't wait to get back into it!

About the game (Official)
Besiege castles and raid villages in Chivalry: Medieval Warfare is a first-person slasher with a focus on multi-player. Featuring competitive online combat that seeks to capture the experience of truly being on a medieval battlefield. Inspired from the intensity and epicness of swordfighting movies such as 300, Gladiator and Braveheart, Chivalry: Medieval Warfare aims to bring that experience to the hands of a gamer.

The game is skill-based and controls like an FPS, but instead of guns and grenades, players are given swords, shields, maces, battleaxes and longbows. Set in a fictional, yet gritty and realistic world, players will fight in fast paced online battles besieging castles, raiding medieval villages and fighting for glory in the arena with up to 32 players.

The patch is huge, but the most important ones are:
QuoteLinux: Fix memory leak during and between matches. Also improves OpenGL performance by some undetermined amount (OS X and Linux).

Fixed server browser refresh issue in OS X and Linux

Fixed issue in Bink integration that causes TextureMovies to break when the resolution changes (or, uh, almost every time they start on Linux / OS X)

You can see a native video of it on Linux from Xpander69 below:

Just started downloading for me a few minutes ago (after Steam updated). Will have to revisit the game now, got really into it at one point but the crashes were too annoying so stopped.

Got really good with swords, maces and axes (and a shield). Never got the hang of ranged weapons though... probably because I played it with a gamepad. Would still rather sacrifice that aspect for the benefit of sitting back and enjoying the game more though :).

I have quickly tried it and the performance is now amazing. Before the patch, it was unplayable, stuttering every few seconds. After patch, I have a stable framerate and almost no stuttering. Well done!

I did not even know this had issues. I am tempted to get it, but promised myself to not get any other multiplayer games and to focus entirely on singleplayer games.
