The Shadow Warrior release for Linux did miss out a few graphical features, but the developers have now implemented them all.

I’ve tested it out and wow, the performance with everything on Ultra is amazing. I was getting above 150FPS a lot on my Nvidia 970, and this is at 1920x1080 resolution. This is how you port a game folks! Can easily recommend it now.

The update did cause a few crashes, but the developers very quickly pushed out another. The game now runs flawlessly in my testing.

I've been waiting on my proper play through for these graphical features to arrived, so I am one happy chappy now.

About the game (Official)
Shadow Warrior is a bold reimagining of the classic 3D Realms’ shooter from independent developer Flying Wild Hog (Hard Reset) starring the legendary and quick-witted warrior Lo Wang. Combine the brute force of overwhelming firepower with the elegant precision of a katana to annihilate the merciless armies of the shadow realm in an exhilarating and visually stunning transformation of the classic first-person shooter.

Indeed amelcher, you have shown that you have the touch.
Can you apply it on Hard Reset?

Quoting: amelcherHey guys I'm the guy in charge of the Mac and Linux ports. Glad it seems to be working great for most people, I put a lot of work into these ports. The Humble drmfree build should be updated soon and Flying Wild Hog will likely update the store page with the platforms soon as well. That said if you buy it on steam you will be able to play it on Mac and Linux they simply haven't enabled the icons on the store page. If you have any issues please feel free to voice them on the steam forums. Thanks for the article :-D!

As I already told you on Steam forums, you did an awesome job and you deserve much praise.

Quoting: ThePierrasseStill not playable with AMD catalyst drivers...

What problems are you experiencing? I've had it running with fglrx, prior to updating this machine to kernel 4.0. My kaveri can still play it with fglrx and radeonsi, though at a reduced framerate, there aren't any glitches or crashes.

For some reason, mobs are invisible and I can't see which gun I'm holding because of a weird glitch that covers part of the screen depending on where I'm looking at. I don't have any performance issue at all.

I'd check out this forum thread:

Basically I'd recommend you make sure you have the latest fglrx driver. It fixes issues similar to what you are describing and increases perf a bit too I believe. I can't grantee I'll follow up on comments here so do continue the conversation on the steam forums. Thanks.

Did you do all that porting alone?? Thanks for your work! I'm playing the game now (GOG release), but I'm not sure does it match features in DX11 version or in DX9 version? And what exactly are those differences?

Games requirements don't sound on par with DX11:

QuoteGame prerequisites:

OpenGL 3.2 as well as the following extensions:
* EXT_texture_compression_s3tc
* EXT_texture_filter_anisotropic
* ARB_instanced_arrays
* ARB_sampler_objects
* ARB_shader_bit_encoding
* ARB_vertex_type_2_10_10_10_rev

In addition to the Linux version of the remake, they are now also selling a Linux wrapper for the original game on GOG.com as well:
