The Last Dogma is now available on Steam for purchase:
http://store.steampowered.com/app/374510

It got a massive 1.3 update and features a SteamOS (Linux) version, which is a Steam exclusive and has a couple of exclusive voiced lines.

You can already read a couple of reviews from Pixels and Guns and Grab The Games.

The Last Dogma is a dark comedy exploration adventure game set in the year 1999 of an alternate reality world, where US actively campaigns for world domination after being disappointed with the results of the Cold War.

You play as Sebastian Arise, an ATF special agent tasked with the tracking and eradication of local firearms dealers. One day straightforward tracking mission turns into disaster, thrusting him into the village of cannibalistic Christian cult known as “Holy Intentions”. Entwined in a web of intrigues between emotion-feeding daemons, Sebastian must keep his senses sharp as he travels back in 1366 A.D. to stop the things he shouldn’t stop.

The game is a reboot of Sacred Line Genesis, horror text adventure game for Sega Genesis which got an official cartridge release in February 2015.
It's weird and it's short. Recommended for fans of Killer7, Normality and Pathologic and people who prefer exploration over action.

Features:

- Unpredictable, surreal and dark story which features two different storylines with their own endings
- Original soundtrack featuring epic orchestral music, melodic instrumental rock, ambient and shamisen dance electro
- Professionally recorded voice acting from the actors of Stasis, Kholat, Dust: An Elysian Tail, Strike Vector, Huntsman: The Orphanage and Deadstar
- Atmospheric environments open for exploration
- Adventure-like system with the use of “Look,” “Investigate”, “Talk” and "Take" commands
- Lots of well-hidden secrets, including “Secret World” campaign where you’ll meet the Narrator

Why is this described as an *alternate* reality? :-P

I like weird games with dark humor. I might give this a shot. It's fairly cheap, so the risk is low.

The one and only review, "This game is too buggy to play in linux."

If you believe everything you read on the Internet, then sure, walk away.

His profile is set to private, it's the only "review" he has and it's a just a small line written using Google Translate.
You want to know how the game works on Linux, you can ask the game beta tester, moderator of GamersOnLinux http://www.indiedb.com/members/booman
He has a huge experience of testing Linux games and providing guides and he surely won't lie about it.

No to mention there's now a "Steam Refunds" program and you can try it for yourself anyway. Basically every game on Steam now acts like a demo.

I play Bio shock infinite on my Arch machine and it's super fast without any bugs. I have not tried Dying light yet.

Maybe so, but the Steam Refunds are bollocks anyway. 2 Hours limit is just BS esp when you try to debug an issue. I tried to refund Dying Light 3 times, once before the new policy went online and twice after. First they said that they wont refund because reasons that go against the EU and Swedish Law. Second and Third time because my time extended the 2Hours but thats only because after the game crashing a thread in the background is left running steam counts every freaking second....... I bought Dying Light for 60€ and still only barely completed the tutorial in the beginning because of massive framedrops and after x patch the game won't launch anymore for me.

Quoting: GuestYou’re lucky to have only 2 broken games :). That said, both Dying Light and Bioshock Infinite work very well here (possibly with the taskset -c 0,2 trick for BI)

About The Last Dogma, err, the trailer really doesn’t make me want to buy or play it. Bad/terrible graphics, hard to understand voices, a camera position that makes the (supposed) racing parts impossible to play, and the gameplay seems to be that of a mindless shooter.

Well first issue is that the game wont launch on correct monitor, and even when I mange to write kwinrules so it forces it to correct monitor it takes the resolution settings from monitor 0,0 that is in portrait mode. I tried VP's monitor index but then the game just crashes/freezes before showing the intro videos.

If i just disable my portrait monitor and get the game to play i will just freeze randomly even with the taskset set.
