Oh boy, Virtual Programming sure our busy! Overlord & Overlord 2 are also on their way to Linux. I can't wait!

I had honestly never heard of either, but they both look pretty damn fun.

It's quite hard to find official trailers and gameplay of older games, but here's a bit of gameplay from Overlord:

About Overlord
Prepare to be tempted, mesmerized and thrilled, become the Overlord, how corrupt you become depends on how you handle any given situation. Your actions impact the game world. With incredible power at your disposal and a team of evil minded minions to do your evil bidding, how will you resist the temptation to be incredibly despotic? THINK EVIL, BREED EVIL, CONTROL ALL!

About Overlord 2
Overlord II, sequel to the critically acclaimed cult hit, sees the return of the chaotic Minions and their new Dark Master. Bigger, badder and more beautifully destructive, Overlord 2 has a Glorious Empire to smash, a massive Netherworld to revive, Minion mounts to mobilize, a trio of mistresses to woo, War Machines to crush opposition and lots of cute creatures to, err... murder (and a mini-map).

Can't wait to try them. Being on Linux has created a void of games I've missed out on, so VP bringing over some older titles is pretty cool. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

Well that's unexpected, and these two will be on my list for sure. It looks like Triumph Studios and Codemasters are taking a real interest in Linux now. Was there any news if Overlord: Fellowship of Evil is coming out for Linux too? It's due to be released on Oct. 20 for Windows at least.

I have both of them (bought them when I still dual booted - it was the time they were released), and they're really fun titles if you don't mind killing baby seals :D. I enjoyed the games a lot.

Looking forward to playing them again, I for sure don't remember much of the two games.

You will enjoy those games. Overlord 2 is a bit better. The words 'for you' will take on new meaning. LOL

Brilliant!!! I never thought I'd see these games running in Linux, is there any indication if the DLC for the first one will be included?

I have a distinctive memory of lighting sheep on fire in the first game :).
