Ultimately Linux was much more performant than Windows 11, sometimes by a factor of 10x. Impressive.
One other big benefit of the Linux version is its "fork save", which basically removes most of the delay from it. You don't even realise how effective it is until you go back to 1.1 (for mods) and suddenly notice the save stutters.
