It's time to get your survival gear ready, as Don't Starve Together is now officially released and it has a few improvements.

QuoteWith the release version of DST, in addition to reaching content parity with the original game we have added a few new fun things for you. Maxwell makes his long awaited début, resource variants have been introduced to add a little spice to your life; and of course, more bug fixes and tweaks -- and maybe some other surprises.

They will continue to make improvements to the game, so this isn't the end of development for it.

A big fan of this game myself, and now that it's released I think another livestream of it is due don't you?

You can get Don't Starve Together on Steam.

While I have to say Don't Starve in general is great (17 hours of Don't Starve Together and 100 hours of Don't Starve and Don't Starve: Reign of Giants), I am sad because game left early access and I still cannot play with my Dualshock 4 gamepad when it's not wired (on standard Don't Starve this issue does not occur).
How does the game behave like with Steam Controller? Does it have some dedicated in-game support or is it a mouse and keyboard mapping?

Something you gonna stream tomorrow maybe :D?

Is this a Linux tool? When I google it, I receive only Windows-related topics, and for Linux it seems people look for xpadder alternatives.
And what's more - in Don't Starve Together, when I wire DS4, I receive PS4 icons on UI. I would love to have that on wireless connection as well ;)

Ops my bad, I mean antimicro. Its basicly the same thing as xpadder.
Even the ui is the same.

I dont know what you mean by the icon, or what to do there.

Don't Starve Together officially supports DS4 and thanks to that I am able to pick it in the options and see all the action tips presented as dualshock button icons like in the images:

If it would work for wireless connection as well it would be golden.

So it's Steam only?

UPDATE: Yeah, it is: http://forums.kleientertainment.com/topic/44729-dont-starve-together-roadmap/

QuoteIs Don't Starve Together available to non-Steam users?

Don't Starve Together uses a lot of the Steam API's to function, hence, at this time, Don't Starve Together is only available on Steam.

Too bad. Developers shouldn't use this lock-in.

I see, sry its late over here.
Thanks for the image ^^.

Thats weird tho, I dont see whats the difference really, if you choose to play with cable or wireless :S.
Maybe its just a bugg, and if so Im sure it will be fixed.
Im using an xbox controller, and not a dual shock, but I wonder if I got the same issue, cause I play wireless all the time.
Gonna try it tomorrow and see how it goes.

I just don't get it with you dude..... Steam is our best way (and probably only hope) of getting more and good quality games, without Valve we'd still be playing Xbill. There is absolutley nothing wrong with steam! Sure it can be nice to have DRM free games if you wish to install something on the old Craptop which never uses internet, but it's 2016 right?

I think you misunderstood one thing publish game in steam and make game around the steam is two different things. If you use steam api with your game your game it will not work out side of steam. It is same when programmers use Nvidia exclusive api Radeon users will suffer.
I do not think he meant do not publish games on Steam or do not by games on steam he meant do not make steam exclusive games.
Shmerl Apr 22, 2016
Quoting: Imantshe meant do not make steam exclusive games.

Exactly.
