Steam summer sale looks set for June 23rd

By - | Views: 9,426
Thanks to a leak it looks like you will need to prepare your wallets once again, as the Steam summer sale looks likely to happen from June 23rd.

A user who previously leaked past dates for Steam sales posted on reddit again to leak the new one.

The problem with Steam handing out confidential information to developers, is that some developers like this one simply won't care.

Looks like it will run until July 4th.

What are you planning to pick up? Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

Something tells me Valve does it on purpose. In any case, http://whenisthenextsteamsale.com/ was estimating the exact same date, so I don't think this comes as a biiiiig surprise. :)

I have ~70 games on my steam & gog wishlists combined; I'm hoping to get one or two when the discounts begin. I wonder how low Superhot and Broforce will go for; since my budget is pretty miniscule.

Hmm, let me think. I have over 160 game on my Steam wishlist, I better clean it. :-P My mid-end laptop will arrive tomorrow and I will probably play the games that are already in my Steam account. I was looking for Borderlands series but it turned out that those are DLC hell, I opted out... :-) Keep in mind, if you are looking Borderlands 2, GameAgent is one of the few stores which sells "complete" bundle of the game.

Let's take a look at the top 5 of my wishlist, then:
1. Tomb Raider - will buy at even a moderate deal - assuming performance stabilises by then.
2. Stellaris - might wanna hold off, as EU4 has sucked up too much of my time.
3. The Long Dark - it's still in Early Access though, so I don't know. Anyone know how well this runs now on Linux?
4. EU4: Conquest of Paradise DLC - Yeah I won't be able to hold off if they post a deal on this.
5. Trine 3 - Although the mixed reviews on Steam and the apparent short duration has me worried.
Wildcard: Dreamfall Chapters.

I've already got Shadowrun: Hong Kong on GOG, but I just might get it on Steam as well. Final Fantasy V, VI and X/X2 HD Remaster have been on my wishlist since I discovered them in the store. And more Dark Souls just because Dark Souls.

Well the great majority of my wishlist is composed of "windows-only" titles and of the linux-titles, most that I actually desire are games that are not yet released or not yet ported.

So that leaves me with a bunch of "maybe" titles that I don't have much real desire for but may be willing to give a try if the price is right:

Sword Coast Legends
After Reset RPG
Renowned Explorers: International Society
The Detail
Sheltered
Savage Lands
ADOM (Ancient Domains of Mystery)
Broforce
Layers of Fear
Dungeon Rushers

...are a few examples.
