Today GOL asks: what have you been playing on Linux, and what do you think about it?

I've personally been playing a lot of OpenRA, which I think I may have an addiction to. Really love the classic Westwood RTS games, I just wish the AI was a little better.

We had some fun playing Left 4 Dead 2 last night as well, such a good solid game. Great fun to play with friends, even if we did utterly fail at putting fuel in the car at the end of a certain level. Stupid Tank.

Now that the XCOM 2 patch and DLC is out I am also very much looking forward to getting back to kicking alien ass.

This coming week I am hoping to polish up our statistics page some more and include a resolution picker too. Along with general bug fixing of the website I am also planning to continue rolling out more features and new sections, but more on that later.

So many games, so little time!

Also, again, thanks for all the support on Patreon! Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

Quoting: tmtvl.. but I fear I might need to run a Debian derivative, in which case it probably won't be worth the pain and humiliation.

Yes, I second that, it's always painful to need to run a derivative. But in this case, I can comfort you, Divine Divinity totally runs on vanilla Debian!

Recently, I played X Rebirth but I got pissed, when I noticed that all resources are limited... Like mentioned by another user, there are occasional graphical errors.

Then I started playing Prison Architect again. I'd like to finally get the "1000 prisoners" achievement :D

And yesterday, I rediscovered the original SPAZ. It works perfectly with a strange 55-FPS-lock (according to Steam overlay). But for me this is fine, because this way my GPU fans don't start running at all!

Quoting: GuestDiablo III Reaper of Souls. Runs quite well through latest Wine with CSMT.
Terraria - a few lags here and there, but hosting it and playing with 2 family members. Great game that will entertain you for a long time.
Minecraft - performance dropped significantly with opensource drivers
No More Room In Hell - runs better now with opensource drivers IMO, it is a casual game.
Runes Of Magic - runs decently. Not really playing it anymore cuz of Diablo.

Use gallium-nine with Diablo 3. Don't be surprised if your frame rates double. It's my goto when I play Starcraft 2 and Diablo III. Great games, just wish Blizzard was more Linux friendly.

I was trying to play Warframe, but it was a pain in the ass to get to work and when I finally got it up and running their was graphical glitches followed by a full system hang :'(.

I'd like to give the new Unreal Tournament a try. But hopefully it doesn't work too well or I might get addicted like I did for about a decade with the original games :-o.

I returned to Dustforce; I've been improving my results. Completion, though, is a *looong* way ahead.
