Team Fortress 2 just became way more exciting, as the Meet Your Match update is now live after they revealed more new stuff on Day 2 of the update teaser.

I covered Day 1 here where the big thing was the new matchmaking system.

Day 2 has explained that either Heavy or Pyro will be getting a big update, but you have to vote on who and then play games to earn points for that team. On top of that Day 2 has given us new Taunts and new crates to buy.

So we now have casual and competitive matchmaking, new sounds, PASS Time game mode is out of beta, new stuff to buy, lots of bug fixes, performance fixes and more.

In typical Valve style, their servers are completely overloaded and a lot of people are having trouble even connecting (myself included).

I tested it earlier when the servers came back, worked perfectly for me. Super smooth :)

I'm a bit disappointed my favorite medi gun (the Quick-Fix) got a bit of a nerf, but it's not too bad (and giving its ability to keep up with faster heal targets to all medi guns is really a net gain), and I'm incredibly excited by the fact that teleporters absolutely plummeted in cost from 125 metal to 50. That's going to change so much about the Engineer set up phase on RED.
