Since my friends at GOG gifted me the original, I automatically gained a copy of this new version so I will be able to review it after release.

It's actually free for anyone who owns the original, so that's fantastic.

About the game
Kingdom: New Lands builds upon the award-winning gameplay and mystery of Kingdom by introducing an abundance of new content to the IGF-nominated title while maintaining the simplicity and depth that legions of monarchs have come to experience and enjoy. Travel to the New Lands and welcome the deluge of new mounts, merchants, and vagrants that call these isles home, but be wary of the new obstacles that threaten your arrival -- for not just the greedy creatures block your way but even the environment itself can defeat you.

Be brave, ruler, and fight to the bitter end, lest these New Lands conquer you instead.

Haha, that's really nice!
I really enjoyed the original, and I'm really looking forward to play this one as well, since it looks like it brings some really nice additions. I was a little upset about the 15$ price tag but I was still going to buy it during a sale... but then I noticed that this is actually FREE if you own the original!!! That's actually a really nice and generous approach from the devs!
The game certainly deserves every coin of those 15$ but what's really cool is that it's a free upgrade if you have the original, you don't have to buy it again (which is what put me off initially, since this is indeed an upgrade).

It's a really lovely game that is both relaxing and challenging to play! It has great controller support and it's a perfect game to play on the sofa on Steam OS, if you are into indie retro-graphics games. Also, talking about graphics, the art style is really lovely and fitting.

This is definitely one of my 2016 highlights. The perfect game to play from the couch, right next to stardew valley. I'm already pretty excited to try the new DLC. I hope there'll be much more content; the original game was quite short.
