What have you been playing recently and how is it?

It has been a little while since I asked, so let's see what you're up to. What have you been playing recently and how is it?

I tried a good bit of Starbound when it released and wow it has changed a lot. It's really quite impressive what they have built. The exploration, the awesome loot and it's just a pleasing experience.

The other main one is Stardew Valley, it utterly demolishes time in the blink of an eye and my farm is slowly coming along!

I also thoroughly enjoyed Near Death which I did on the last livestream. My failure at surviving in the cold was pretty obvious and I haven't managed to find the elusive penguin yet!

Personally, I just want to find the time to finish up Life is Strange, I still haven't managed to get some proper time to sit down and finish the last bit on it. Excited to see how it ends!

With so many games to choose from now, it does get almost frustrating at times choosing between them to play in my limited leisure time. Do you find that now too? Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

World of Warships ... why, oh why I like games for the Other Operating System™ :-(

I've started playing Undertale a day ago although having bought it when it released onto Linux.
Been having quite a lot of fun, although it was frustrating at some points. (Boss fights... although not the fights, but rather the game over screen, that you cannot skip, just lemme instant respawn please ;~; )

But I've also been on the dark side.
Played the hell out of Rainbow Six Siege on Windows. I just love the 5v5 gameplay and the destruction. You also die really fast (and kill really fast) so every encounter with an enemy is really exciting.
It's the first Windows game I've bought since I switched to Linux... and I know I shouldn't have, but damn the game is soooo good, I could not resist buying it after the free weekend (at a 50% discount, wouldn't have otherwise).

Haven't been able to play games much lately, but some [Life is Strange](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l1bqc4U7FQQ) - really like it.
And a little bit of [Alone in Space](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JH2AkTh-764) - not bad game, but could use some atmospheric music and a bit more polishing

Quoting: SirKatarOh and watching No Mans Sky on Twitch wondering if it came out on Linux would i buy it?
I have NMS on PS4, if it came to Linux I would buy it again for sure.

I think i would like No Mans Sky more if you could build a base.

oh...
A Windows partition AND a console liamdawe?

Since i became a bit more stumped than usual, hardware-wise, earlier this summer; I've been playing mostly:

Overlord I
Psychonauts
FEZ
X3: Reunion

And quite a bit of Town of Salem, but in browser since their game is not (yet?) for Linux on Steam.

I got Tiny & Big: Grandpa's Leftovers on a sale at Itch (came on a bundle with another game and a neat comic. It's really good, and it even runs beautifully on my HD 7770 with the open-source drivers (it's rare for me to find a 3D game that can do that). Also comes with a Steam key in case you prefer playing it there.

If you haven't tried it yet I highly recommend getting it from Itch. And buy the rest of their stuff as well, while you're at it.

Rust & CS:GO, both are great games.

I really enjoyed re-playing Dead Island (not the definitive) but after 12h of super-stable gameplay it just keep crashing, I guess I'll continue it with Wine if it keeps freezing.
Such a great game even if sometimes is broken as hell :)

I always play Insurgency even just for a short match, such a great game!

Then Mini Metro, Badlands, Party Hard, Limbo and Nation Red, I really enjoy them all, but Party Hard is becoming a bit hard :)

On a previous used PC that I sold last month I was playing Red Faction Guerrilla with Wine Gallium Nine, fantastic game with a great destructible environment, can't wait to continue it..

With my GF: we finished Life is Strange Ep.1 and now playing Fahrenheit: Indigo Propecy and a bit of Condemned: Criminal Origins with Wine!

Windows partition for comparisons yes, how do you think I did the Tomb Raider comparison video? ;)

I refuse to boot into Windows now though, far too scared of the reports of it nuking other partitions with the new update.

As for console, yes, I purchased it when it first came out, I think it's a nice platform too.

The game, apart from the occasional problems with Update downloads, works quite well on Wine though,

And at least you have a choice, unlike the users of the Other Operating System™ ;)

(BTW: The Launcher/Updater problem, was easily solved by downloading the patches with a native torrent-client).
