The Dwarves [GOG, Steam, Official Site] is the fancy looking fantasy RPG from KING Art that arrived on Linux with a day-1 release today.

I have requested a review key, so we will see what happens.
Update: My key was approved in record time, nice. Will post thoughts after I've put some time into it.

I think it looks and sounds fantastic, so I am looking forward to giving it a really good go! Tyranny has given me an appetite for RPG games once again.

About the game
The Dwarves is a fantasy role-playing game with a strong story and tactically challenging real-time battles. 15 playable heroes, each with individual skills, are to be deployed cleverly. Take on superior numbers of orcs, ogres, älfs, bögnilim, zombies, dark mages and many more foes, to give them the low-down.

Based on the bestselling novel “The Dwarves” by Markus Heitz you’ll experience a fascinating tale revolving around the coolest fantasy race ever: The Dwarves! Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

The battles seem messy. They might break the experience for me. I hope you get that review key and prove me wrong. Everything else looks drool-inducingly good.

I'm definitely pumped for the game, but still waiting for reviews, of course especially on Linux. Hope you get a key!

Also looking forward to Mesa performance numbers.

I'm going to buy it. Does it work with Mesa / radeonsi? I decided that waiting for Vega is taking too long, and bought an RX 480 on sale which should be coming soon.

Blind Guardian are great. Nightfall in Middle Earth is my favorite album from them.

"Imaginations from the other side" and "Somewhere far Beyond" are also a great albums from this german band.

Ahhh, The Darwes looks very good. It seems the kind of role game that I like

I discovered one composition from Nightfall in Middle Earth recently, which wasn't originally included. It came out later:
