Out of the 15 they now have, 7 have "official" Linux support:
- FATAL FURY SPECIAL
- SAMURAI SHODOWN 2
- SAMURAI SHODOWN V
- THE KING OF FIGHTERS 2000
- THE KING OF FIGHTERS 2002 CLASSIC
- BLAZING STAR
- KING OF THE MONSTERS
All the others, like the Metal Slug series weirdly have unsupported Linux versions included as "bonus" content.
See the GOG news about it here.
Worth noting, there was a Humble Bundle that had these and more back in 2015, so it's likely Humble had some sort of exclusive deal on them for a while. Hopefully they will add more in future!
Will hopefully please some of you that missed the previous Humble Bundle with them in.

King of the Monsters is fun. I wish they'd bring Wind Jammers to Windows/Mac/Linux too.

Quoting: operaDo you have a legal source for getting all these games for free?I really don't care about the legality of it. I love retro games, but I'm not going to pay a penny for them.

Quoting: operaWell yes as long a you own the original cartridges you are allowed to download the roms for free, and to be honest its really really unlikely even in America that someone is going to kick your door down for downloading a game that came out in 1992.Especially because its a dead system that you cannot buy new anymore.Quoting: zimplex1Why would I spend money on these when I could just run these games in an emulator for free?Do you have a legal source for getting all these games for free?

Quoting: zimplex1You could also download modern games, sofware, movies and music for free from internet. But it doesn't mean it is good. I don't like piracy.Quoting: operaDo you have a legal source for getting all these games for free?I really don't care about the legality of it. Quoting: elmapul.Especially because its a dead system that you cannot buy new anymore.yes you can but i can still also download the rom for free and play it on linux today and nobody is going to kick down my door because of it. I get what you are saying support the porting to linux by buying x title etc but on this occasion i fail to see the point. Whoever holds the rights now to snk games is not the original snk as they went out of business in the late 90's.

Quoting: muntdefemsYou probably already know that, but the Windows installers are created with Inno Setup so they can all be extracted with innoextract. It'd be a little redundant to offer the assets separately in a zipfile.Surely if all I want is the raw assets though then it is the rest of the installer that becomes redundant?

Quoting: sigmichYou could also download modern games, sofware, movies and music for free from internet. But it doesn't mean it is good. I don't like piracy.I enjoy piracy quite a bit, but to each their own. However with old retro games like these and others, I really don't consider it piracy at all. I mean most of these games the developers/publishers are either dead or have moved on to the point that they don't do anything with or care about those IP anymore.

There will be no more talk about how much you enjoy piracy, consider this a warning. This is a legal way of obtaining games that are no longer in physical form and if you don't agree, well, tough but your entitlement has no place here.

Quoting: razing32Are these actual ports ?rom + emulator (+ 4 avatar images in Metal Slug X)
Did someone do any work on these or is this just a rom + emulator ?
The BIOS is not compatible with newer MAMEs, but the games are OK (the Metal Slugs at least). I was looking for a way to force start MAME with the GOG BIOS, but couldn't find it yet.
