That's right, the rather good Shadow Warrior is currently 100% free to grab and own on Steam until around 5PM UTC tomorrow.

About the game
QuoteShadow Warrior is a bold reimagining of the classic 3D Realms’ shooter from independent developer Flying Wild Hog (Hard Reset) starring the legendary and quick-witted warrior Lo Wang. Combine the brute force of overwhelming firepower with the elegant precision of a katana to annihilate the merciless armies of the shadow realm in an exhilarating and visually stunning transformation of the classic first-person shooter.

The game arrived on Linux back in 2015 (has it really been that long?) with Humble Indie Bundle 14. It's an excellent port too, it's smooth and it looks damn good!

What the hell are you waiting for? Go to Steam and grab Shadow Warrior.

Still here? Okay, well, there's sadly no news on Shadow Warrior 2 coming to Linux. You can all stop emailing me asking me if I have any updates now ;) Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

Yeah, I thought 'cool, 50% off of... a Windows game.. Nah, I have enough. I mean if it's like 80% off, maybe?

But don't get me wrong, if it were out for Linux, I'd pay full price. I did for Shadow Warrior 1 (at least I'm pretty sure I did).

This was a surprisingly good game. It's stupid as f*, and that made me go into the game with roughly the expectations of it being just a cheap laugh, but it's actually pretty damn cool.

Waiting for the option to pay for it I imagine. We do want SW2 as well, don't we. :D

Well I just bought that two years ago, but - sadly - still no linux version :). The second part is worse though IMO.
AFAIK the game was released 10 months ago - did you preorder or fund this game?

okay, this will not be nice at all...
but: they anounced the game to be definitly released on linux! So: do we need to have funded/pre-ordered the game? I don't think so. They made clear anouncements about what's going to be available and we should not support such a behaviour by supporting them (in terms of adding apologies for not releasing SW2 on linux. That doesn't mean you should refrain from buying the linux version of SW1).
