GOG and Steam are both running a Polish celebration sale

By - | Views: 10,279

To celebrate Poland's independence, both GOG and Steam are running a special sale with some good Linux games going cheap.

Some top picks for you:

There's plenty more, that's just a few of my picks to get you started.  The sales on Steam end in little over a day, on GOG you have a few days to decide if you want something. You can check out the full list on GOG and Steam.

If you pick up anything good and want to talk about it, do let us know in the comments. Always fun to know what games people are enjoying on Linux.

With SteamPlay in play... well tempting to get other titles like The Witcher 3 or Vanishing of Ethan Carter.. Although all Liams reccomendations are good!

Quite some games coming from Poland!

So many trash games ! But also some nice ones to catch.

I'd highly recommand Age of Fear, the 2 and 3, but not the 1. Why ? 2 and 3 share the same engine and map, but 1 is getting a remake soon to be aligned with the others. Basically, they are all the "same game", but with each time two campaign.

So, AoF1 is Undeads and Humans, AoF2 is Demons and Greenskins, AoF3 is Dwarves and Dryads. So just pick the one you like more based on the playable factions.

I did a full dwarves campaign (in french) and now i'm testing AoF1GOLD (not avalaible to public yet), doing the Humans campaign.
In english, Cornish did and still does full campaign too. He started Humans a few days ago, so we are doing the same but differently.

The guy behind the games is very dedicated, offers great support, and works fast when fixing reported bug (couple of days top).

It's a shame many players won't even look at Age of Fear because of its appearance.

First off, happy independence day for all our Poland folks!

Definitely there are some games that I will grab, but I'm still unsure to get The Witcher 3. I think I'll wait for the Winter sale for this one.

Big impressive list, but the polish game I'm waiting for most is Jupiter Hell on Steam early access!

Yesterday I brought Witcher 3 and for the first time I tested Proton. I expected that problems must happen etc. but, what a surprise! I couldn't believe with what smoothness and perfection it ran. Really fantastic work.

Wow... A lot of "Anime Girls" in VR titles on the steam list.

Sadly, not for linux.

I've bought Tower of time and King Arthurs gold. I've been meaning to get ToT for a while, since I've not played RPGs for a long time and the reviews looked good.
I really wish there were more CCGs for Linux. Artifact has my hopes quite high up...

Thanks a lot, appreciated :).

As far as I tested it through a shared library, it runs without an issue with SteamPlay, so you can give it a spin, definitely.

Yep, I know that works flawlessly now, but I think I still have some resentment with RED for not making the Native version. Either case, I bought the original The Witcher just for show a little of goodwill :P (and also because it was way too cheap XD)

Wort to mention: Looks like Heliborn developer are Polish and they have a 40% discount. If you like helicopters in a mix of simulation + arcade, this is your game!
