Back in August the developer of Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus mentioned how they were worried about other developers having issues. The good news, is that they're committed to doing it.

After being pretty quiet about it for a while, the developer has commented to allay any fears Linux gamers have about Mechanicus not coming:

Yes apologies for not updating here.
This close to release it's rather busy as you can imagine.

Would just like to reassure you these versions are on the table :) never going to leave or come off the table.

As of now nothing has changed.

What we don't know right now is if we will have Linux or MacOS builds for release. Still waiting to hear back about that.

Again we'd rather not deliver a version than deliver something broken and unusable.

Thank you for your understanding

Really happy to see that, some good news to start a week! I'm rather excited about it, especially with the setting and getting to play as the Adeptus Mechanicus certainly will be interesting.

For an up to date look, here's a video put up on November 2nd to show off exploration. It actually looks quite a bit like a dungeon crawler with XCOM inspired combat and that could make for a very interesting playthrough.

That response leaves me satisfied and very content. Now, where's my wallet again?

Yeah, that kind of response was an example of how to perfectly handle such a situation even if there's a delay.

Huh, I had to watch the video to see how the dungeon crawling mixed with the tactical gameplay. It looks very cool!
