It’s been quite some time since I checked out the adventure game Fugl, which has no set goals of any kind. I’ve learned to appreciate the beauty of it, maybe you will too?
It’s a strange one, I’m so used to having something to work towards that Fugl honestly baffled me originally. Well, it still does a little, however, I’ve now come to realise that’s honestly part of the charm. You aren’t forced down any one particular path because you make your own, you decide where you’re going and what you’re going to explore.
It just recently had a nice Sound Update too which includes:
- Updated sound effects for winds, ambient music, and lots more.
- Lots of bug fixes to the sound system
- Increased mouse sensitivity
- Added slowdown effect to 3rd mouse button
- Misc bugfixes
I’m certainly interested to see how they plan to keep expanding it while it’s in Early Access. The idea is nice and their roadmap sounds quite interesting. They’re planning all sorts of things like a full weather system, a day and night cycle, interactions with other creatures and so on. I will take another look when there's just a little bit more to see and do, as currently it's quite a meditative experience but it still feels just a bit lacking.
