Bee management sim Hive Time gets an Informational Update

By - | Views: 9,640

Hive Time, a very sweet bee management and building sim where you build up your own hive has a big update out now. Disclosure: the developer, Cheeseness, has contributed to GOL in the past.

With today being World Bee Day, it's a perfect time for a big update and to learn a little perhaps. The Informational Update brings in a Beepedia which is a place for looking over tutorial info, game concepts to be explored, and some hints/tips to be discovered and some proper facts too. Additionally there's a bunch of fancy new visual effects, a bunch of new Queen portraits and a lot of small additions to make it feel nicer overall.

Check out the brand new trailer:

There's also an expanded game options section too allowing you to tweak various settings to your liking, various bug fixes and a few handy optimizations too.

You can get Hive Time on, where it's under a pay what you want funding model to enable as many people as possibly to be able to play. Obviously if you enjoy it, funding it helps further updates and more games to be made from the developer.

This looks like such a sweet little game. Cheeseness, do you think you will release on Steam some day?

No plans at this stage. I'm committed to PWYW with a minimum of $0 and a default price, and to allowing purchases/downloads without an account. If Valve implements these features, I'll definitely consider it (that seems unlikely though).
