Zoria: Age of Shattering Prologue is a chance to try out a new in-development party-based tactical RPG, as it's out now with Linux support.

With a mix of action-adventure exploration, party management and turn-based battles where positioning is key it's quite satisfying. While the battles are turn-based, they take place directly on the map exactly where you are. Not only that, it's not tile based either. Instead you get freedom of positioning based on each character's action points. It has a feel quite like Divinity: Original Sin.

With the current content you can play it through likely in 3-4 hours, to get a taste. Have a look at the new launch trailer below:

Fun game
its only 2-2,5 hours of play to finish but worth time
and work flawless on my ancient PC (Manjaro)

If you need some break or few hours of relax i recommend to try it

I love the stuff they added and changed in the Prologue vs the beta I have played a lot. Works perfectly on my Solus box

I'm just going to get right to it. How does this compare with the DoS games? I ask because I have not finished those and liked them well enough. No point for me to get another game so similar unless there is something really different about it.

Pretty different TBH. Not shown in this Prologue, but I know they are centering everything around a main hub (castle/keep, etc) and will do story/side quests from there (XCOM like).
