Desperados III confirmed to be coming to Linux this Summer

By - | Views: 22,701

Today, Desperados III from Mimimi Games and THQ Nordic releases on PC for Windows but it's now confirmed to be heading to Linux and macOS too.

On Twitter, THQ Nordic mentioned how multiple big updates are already planned to launch across July and August and in the same tweet they also said, "Additionally, there will be an update this summer, adding Mac & Linux support."—awesome! Considering Mimimi Games did a great job on Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun I'm keen to see Desperados III on Linux.

Quoting: GuestDesperados: Wanted Dead or Alive has been my favourite tactics/stealth game for years, until… Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun came out and stole its place as my new favourite one!

So I am of course buying it once we get a (DRM-free) Linux version, and planning to squeeze an unreasonable amount of fun out of it

maybe because there arent many games like it
desperados, robin hood, commandos... i think thats pretty much it

I think I like Japan setting better, but will definitely give this one a try too :D

I enjoyed Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun enough when I picked it up a few years ago that I figured whatever they came out with next in the same vein would be an automatic purchase for me. I see it finally came out today, but since I'm pretty flush with games to play at the moment I might as well wait for the native release. I'm curious to see how the setting changes the use of guns, since they were limited ammo but incredibly powerful in BotS but obviously they're pretty commonplace in the Wild West setting.

Ah yes, those well-known classic Wild West swamps.

Well okay , not instant , will wait for a few reviews but they seem like good devs.
