Chaosmonger Studio who are also working on the sci-fi adventure ENCODYA have managed to succeed on Kickstarter again with their platformer metroidvania Clunky Hero.

Mixing together a story-driven platformer metroidvania and a slice of RPG elements with some comedy, Clunky Hero is slightly absurd. You are running around with a bucket on your head and a broom, while fighting off drunken bees so expect the bizarre.

Against their €12,500 goal they hit €14,025 so they have a small buffer over what they wanted to produce the game, still not a lot overall though. You can see their original trailer below:

Hopefully with multiple games going in development they won't have bitten off more than they can chew, especially as ENCODYA looks so promising. Clunky Hero looks like a lot of fun too though and you can still try the demo up on itch.io if you missed our previous article.

Since it was a success, it's now listed on our dedicated Crowdfunding Page. Now over 350 projects!

Seems they also target GOG for distribution. That's great! I really liked the trailer and will for sure watch out for it.

ENCODYA seems to be doing fine. The game is completable and playtesting is under way. Of course there's still plenty to do and months to go before launch, but doesn't seem like there'll be too much overlap between the two projects.
