The itch.io charity bundle hits over $6 million and ends soon

By - | Views: 17,673

The incredible itch.io Bundle for Racial Justice and Equality has just continued growing but it will all be ending soon.

When mentioning it a few days ago, it had only recently broke four million dollars for charity. Now? It's hitting closer to seven million dollars. That's incredible and itch have done a great job at bringing creators together to enable it to happen. For a $5 minimum purchase to support the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund and Community Bail Fund there's around 1,659 items included from games to art assets and all sorts of stuff in between.

Lots of new additions were added over the last few days too, even after we last covered it. As it's such a huge amount of games, it's gained a handy dedicated website too with all sorts of filtering options that can help you pick things out.

Some of what's newer for Linux that might be worth looking at includes:

There's little over a day left on it and so this will be your last reminder from us on it before we take a look through ourselves. You might see some interesting things we liked appear in future articles.

See the full bundle here.

I made an itch account just for this! Really incredible collection, even if it will take me like a year to sort through it. :)

If you're interested in categorizing the items in the bundle, I ran across this yesterday and it turned out to be tremendously useful. I simply had that open in a browser window and used the search on the Itch client to find and add everything I'm intereested in trying out to a collection, so I can install them at my leisure.

Such a great bundle and charity. 9 of my ppl made itch.io account just to get in on this. This is a big break through because prior to this they only messed with GOG if anything at all but with the pandemic and social distancing our LAN days are probably going to be gone for a long time.

The Maker's Eden seems to be missing files at the moment! Amazing bundle, though :-)

Has anyone tried Trawl[0]? The setting fascinates me somehow, and it works fine on my linux box - but I never catched anything. Unfortunately letting it run in the background is not an option, even Alt+Tabbed-out the game still grabs the mouse pointer (no idea why. The unity version is too old? some side effect of my desktop environment?).

Same thing here with Trawl, always grabs mouse. I netted a rusty harmonica and a sealed box in my first two attempts so fishing seems to work.

Thanks for trying!

Bah, I'm jealous. The WHOLE WORLD is against me : )

Steer towards the noise, full speed ahead, lower the net, wait for the bell to ring, raise the net, empty the net on the deck. I think that's the whole game? :)
