Humble Choice, the monthly curated bundle from Humble Bundle is up with a fresh set of games to pick from and claim to be yours. You pick a tier with different prices to get access to the huge Humble Trove (a collection of DRM-free games) plus a Humble Store discount and then you pick between 3-9 games to keep.

This is what you can pick from for Humble Choice July 2020, titles in bold at the top directly support Linux and the rest do not but might run through the Proton compatibility layer.

  • Basingstoke
  • Earthlock
  • Railway Empire
  • Sigma Theory
  • Yuppie Psycho
  • Age of Wonders: Planetfall Deluxe Edition
  • Battlestar Galactica Deadlock Season One
  • Beat Hazard 2
  • Don't Escape: 4 Days to Survive
  • Metal Unit
  • Verlet Swing
  • Void Bastards

If any of that interests you, check it out on Humble Choice.

On the subject of Humble Bundle, if any Python fans are reading: their Learn Python Programming bundle might interest you.

Basingstoke and Earthlock have no Linux icon. Do these games officially support Linux?

They have Linux icons on Steam.

Also noticed another thing. It used to be enough to "have" humble monthly to get your 20% off in the store. They now changed it to require it to be unlocked.

In case Earthlock is the only thing you'd want from this bundle (and it is a pretty sweet JRPG style game), it's on sale on Steam. In fact, the collector's edition bundle is even cheaper than the base game for some reason. :)

Yes, I've let them know they're missing the icons.

I've not had to do that? Odd, it just happened as I would have expected.

No. You could use the 20% until you paused. After that it was gone until the new month started.

This is how it has worked for me back before humble choice when it was humble monthly. I presume it is still the same with choice.

I can confirm because I have just checked - For people like me, who have a Humble Choice Subscription, and *before* I pause the subscription, and *before* I unlock the monthly choices, the 20% Discount Bonus on Humble Store is active.

If I were to pause this month, then the 20% Discount would go away. (This does not happen until I pause it.)

Note that if you leave the subscription unpaused, then in the last week prior to the subscription switching to the next month, it is assumed you want it (because you didn't cancel it) and it gets added to your account. (Pause early to avoid getting a month you do not want.)

Anyone played Sigma Theory? That's the only one that interests me this month. I might just pick it up in the Steam sale, it's just over half what I would have to pay for the bundle.

I haven't tried it myself but it does look good. It is also available in a build your own bundle over on fanatical at the moment so might be worth a look there in case you like the look of any of the other games available.
