Have you been penny-pinching ready for the Steam Summer Sale 2021? Well it's live now so you can open those wallets up and build up another backlog of games.

This year Valve has announced what they're calling Forge Your Fate, which are "fourteen themed pages featuring destiny-defining micro-adventures, each one leading to an animated sticker, and all culminating in a fate-forged badge and glory". Each of them brings you to a special store page with games that fit the theme picked, and allow you to continue a little story. Additionally, the Points Shop has been updated with for all-new Game Profiles featuring animated backgrounds, mini-profiles, avatars, and colour schemes.

As per usual, we try to highlight some interesting stuff for you to try out. Here's a little list we think are worth a go:

You can grab some cheap games during Steam's Summer Sale from June 24 until July 8. As usual, the store appears to be struggling too and not all discounts are live (keep refreshing and more appear). Eventually it will smoothen out.

What will you be picking up? Do let us know in the comments what you think it's worth it.

Anyone else having issues with the "Steam Labs experiment 012" sales explorer not finding any results if they select Linux from the platform options?

Desperadoes III is a really fun game with many hours of content. Shadow Tactics I enjoyed even more.

Can anyone explain which Bundle to buy for Crusader Kings III?

Should I buy:
- Crusader Kings III + Expansion Pass ~ 75€
- Crusader Kings III Royal Edition ~ 68€
- Crusader Kings III Royal Edition + Extension Pass ~ 102€

Royal Edition and Extension Pass looks kind of redundant, but only partly. If Paradox would initially launch a "Pay-Once-and-Get-Everything-that-comes" Edition for 120€, I would buy it. Maybe only as an offering for the preorder phase.

More than 100 games on my wishlist currently on sale, but I'll try my best to resist. I really need to play the ones I've already bought. My pile of shame is getting out of hand. Buying things just because they're cheap isn't wise.

Maybe I'll grab just one or two.

First new purchase in a *long* time; I picked up Superliminal & The Pedestrian; really looking forward to both.

Space Haven looks tempting pretty much right up my alley, but I'll have to wait till it's done or 2022, which ever is later.

Quoting: headless_cyborgUnfortunately, it's really hard for me to find anything even remotely interesting (browsing native only)

I'm out a similar mindset. Maybe my tastes are changing our maybe I'm internalizing my goal to not purchase any games this is year. I think more, that I'm just getting more picky about what I want to spend my money and time on despite all the great games out there.

I'm not 100% sure how you have selected the platform, but the default sales page for me is mainly Linux games at the top, more Windows games closer to bottom. I have no idea if that's by accident or not.

I have Linux set in the store settings, so widgets that do the filtering properly have only Linux games.

If I select Linux from category menu, all games seem to have Linux support as far as I can see.

I already spent my money on some headphones and beer...
