Take down a resurrected Maggie Thatcher in this upcoming Doom II campaign

By - | Views: 19,630

Yes that's right, Maggie Thatcher has somehow escaped from Hell in Thatcher's Techbase, a new Doom II campaign that has been announced that will be free to grab on September 24.

Developed by 3D: Doom Daddy Digital this will be a very British take on the whole Doom thing that I can't wait to jump into with a cuppa. Might need a few biscuits too as apparently the UK is the 10th circle of Hell - well it's not wrong. It will be provided as a standard WAD file so it will be playable across any system that can play it. The developer mentioned compatibility with PRBoom, DSDA-Doom, ZDoom and GZDoom.

The trailer mentions it will have support for five difficult levels, co-op and deathmatch support, gamepad support and an original soundtrack too.

It will need a copy of DOOM II which you can get from GOG and Steam.

I have to say, though, I've always been sympathetic towards the Cyberdemon, so I'm, dare I say, offended a little bit.
Now, a vampire themed game, on the other hand, would've been more appropriate. This woman seems to have the right idea: https://youtu.be/DUlj48Rvp1c

Quoting: LanzI know it's popular online to be a rabid leftist, but Thatcher was a remarkably talented woman who deserves our respect, not mockery. This is tasteless.
I really hope that comment is an attempt at satire.

These comments are a great example of why some people just shouldn't talk about politics online

Which one? Mine (right above yours)?
No it's not; what am I, Dinsdale from the Piranha Brothers? I think the Cyberdemon deserves better.

Lovely idea getting an iron cyberdaemom.
And right after I played though Sigil and as a revival most of the Doom/Doom II episodes.

Why? What i know Thatcher is one of good politicians (not best possible, she has been to much on lift side of spectrum). Problem is leftist propaganda blaming her for result of leftist policy.

Quoting: BumadarAm not British or anything, but putting thatcher in that list seems a bit extreme?

She was one of the most damaging politicians in post WW2 history. Together with Reagan she brought us the extremist form of capitalism that in the following decades led to an insane concentration of wealth and power in the hands of a few, while leaving everyone else in the dust. Because of her, more and more people had to work two or three jobs and STILL couldn't pay their bills.
The current state of the world, where leaders emphasizing nationalism and protectionism are getting elected by the disenfranchised, is a direct result of Thatcher and Reagan's dismantling of any kind of social accord. Even the Brexit is very unlikely to have happened without her and her divisive politics, so that woman is influencing world politics in a damaging way even from the grave.

She actually deserves to be in place worse than hell.

You do realise everything you said was going on before Thatcher right? The mines were hemorrhaging money of which tax payers (yes even poor tax payers) were funding for a loss. People were having to do more than one job frequently before thatcher. Do not think times were rosy before thatcher as the early to mid 70s were ravaged by greedy unions and rampant striking. Unions have held the UK back for decades. Just look at them today taking your payments and living a life of luxury at your expense. Please do not let facts get in the way

Why would you think it was about you when I quoted someone else?
