Ready to pick up some more games to stay warm with this Winter? If you enjoy indie games then it may be worth take a look over on itch.io with their Winter Sale. Live now until January 3, 2022.

One of the really interesting things about itch.io is that developers set their own revenue share with the store, it can even be 0% if they really wanted to. There's also the ability to pay more if you really like the game with various funding options. They also have an open source app.

Going over their big list, here's a few good deals on interesting games:

You can see all Linux games on sale here, plus be sure to check out my own curated list of some of the best titles for Linux on itch.io.

Hm. The only game I really want on Itch right now (Wildermyth) isn't on sale, at least not yet. All the other stuff that catches my eye, I've already got.

Death Crown for $2.50 is an absolute steal if you're at all into tower defense, metal, and/or hexagons

Both Darkside Detective games are on sale and both are an absolute blast to play. The humor is witty and fun and they don't beat you over the head with it. Pacing is good for each episode, I didn't feel that any where drawn out.

The final bonus episode (free) for A Fumble in the Dark will be released tomorrow evening (Christmas Eve).

Trust me, if ever a game was worth full price, its Wildermyth. Each of the included campaigns (Eluna and the Moth is my favorite, and I recommend saving it for last) are ~20 hours each, and the random campaigns are nearly as long. Not to mention the mods that add custom events. You can wind up with generations of adventurers with their own quirks that make them memorable.

I have over 130 hours in the game, and still feel like there are stories that need to be written.
