Razer make some pretty fancy hardware but, like a lot of vendors, don't exactly support Linux directly and so the OpenRazer project helps you out there. It's an open source driver and user-space daemon to control Razer lighting and other features on Linux, with version 3.4.0 officially out now.
Here's what's new in the latest version:

- Improve error handling in all drivers
- Clean up driver code
- Add additional support for Razer Huntsman V2 functionality
Bug fixes
- Remove non-existent scroll wheel options from DeathAdder Essential (2021)
- Fix media buttons for Huntsman V2
- Fix missing device_remove_file for Pro Click
- Fix persistence saving for DPI X-only devices, like DeathAdder 3.5G
- udev: Check 'razer' as well as 'hid-generic'
To help you manage your devices you will also likely need a proper UI. There's a few available to try like Polychromatic, RazerGenie, razerCommander and Snake.

Hopefully eventually companies like Razor do support Linux officially.

This combined with Polychromatic gives me most of the control I could want for my Viper wireless. They did finally fix control of the mouse dock so that it shows up as a separate device and can be controlled independently but I'm still waiting for more robust battery reporting. They've added basic battery notifications but having the dock turn red (or another color) when the mouse battery gets low is still not possible. Now that I think about it, this is probably possible via polling the OpenRazer driver now and just needs to be added as a feature in Polychromatic.
