TailQuest Defense looks like one to pop on your wishlist. After 5 years in development from a two-person team in Godot Engine, a demo is up now.

It's a tower defense game, that also blends in some exploration and puzzles. Featuring colourful graphics, family-friendly gameplay, puzzles, platforming and plenty of secrets to discover that you can also play in co-op it has a lot of elements that could make it a winning combination.

Not only does it offer up Native Linux support, the developers are long-time Ubuntu users too.

Red towers 🔴 attack red enemies. Blue towers 🔵 attack blue enemies. Seeds (to build towers) buy in the shop.
➡️ YOU can ALWAYS change: (really, during the game, without restarting)

🦊 add or remove a second player

I wishlisted this a while back and have been looking forward to try it. This does not disappoint! I played through the demo three times. For fun, and to find all the secrets. But I guess I have to try once more as I seem to be stuck on 6/8 :(

For some reason the puzzles reminds me of Zak and Wiki (the Wii game) did you take any inspiration from that or is my mind just playing tricks as usual?

Looking forward to the full version. Good luck with the release!

We've added sleep in bed features to our to-do list! :D
