Set in an alternate timeline where WW2 ended in a full nuclear holocaust, the classic base-building RTS named Dying Breed is worth keeping an eye on. You can even try a demo right now. The world has found peace but there's a strange new energy source emerging from underground, and so naturally a fight is brewing over it with you being able to enter the world as either human or mutant-cyborgs.

The gameplay is something you might have expected to see in the original Command & Conquer or Red Alert — it even has some retro acted briefing videos. It's a classic on some serious steroids, as you fight across different locations simultaneously and it gives you some hero units with unique abilities too.

I'm definitely keen to see a whole lot more from this one, it's nice to see there's some developers out there who will keep trying on these classic RTS experiences which I grew up playing and still very much love now.

Go check out the two demos on itch.io and wishlist on Steam.

Is it me , or does this look like a Tiberian Dawn mod.
I mean the water and terrain look almost identical.
Would the energy source emerging from the ground be "tiberium" ?
