Demonschool looks like one of the most unique tactics RPG I've seen for a while, and the new trailer that just went up really has me excited for it. Unique because of the movement and combat system, allowing for plenty of planning and experimentation — not to mention it's stylish as heck.

What is it: "a new-style tactics RPG where motion equals action. Defeat big weirdos in between the human and demon worlds as Faye and her misfit companions, while navigating university life on a mysterious island.". Developed by Necrosoft Games (Hyper Gunsport) and publishing help from Ysbryd Games (WORLD OF HORROR, VA-11 HALL-A). Check out the new trailer:

Main Features:

  • Tactics: Rewind any action during the planning phase and create combos to dispatch your foes.
  • Story: A light horror narrative told through huge avatars with side quests aplenty.
  • Schedule: Plan your school schedule to level your characters and build their skills.
  • Friendship: 15 characters with whom to build relationships.

It's releasing in Q2 2024 with Linux and Steam Deck support.
